and how I love vintage!
This week's challenge at JustRite Inspirations
calls for a VINTAGE MASCULINE card!
(JRC #74)
I loved making this card.
along with the coordinating Spellbinder die, Labels 20.
The sentiment is from the discontinued "All Occasion Nested Sentiments" set.
The background is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder,
and the DP is Graphic 45, "Proper Gentleman".
The background embossed frame is popped up from the card base, the die-cut harlequin label is popped up from the pattern paper, and the sentiment is popped up from that! So you can see that there is a ton of dimension to this card.
I added the "bow tie" to give the card an elegant, formal look.
The rhinestone really added some pizzaz.
My husband noted that this is, so far, HIS favorite card.
This card has been entered in the challenges at
Card Makin' Mamas (Father's Day)
Sentimental Sundays (Special Guy)

stunning card. the bow tie is a very nice addition
LOVE this -- beautiful papers, great dimensional layers and lots of class -- perfect for any 'proper gentleman'!!! ;-)
Your card is beautiful. I love the colors and patterns. I've had that embossing folder for about a year, and never liked anything I did with it. I love the way you used it, it echos the shape of the die cut so well. I love seeing someone make something beautiful with something I have and have failed with. It makes me want to try using it again. (And makes me feel less like I shouldn't have bought it). :-)
Man o' man o' man...did you ever nail this one! I think it's truly the most striking masculine card I've ever seen and it has a bow!!! Fantastic creation you've designed here. :)
Such fantastic layers! One of my favorite stamp sets! Thanks for sharing with us at JustRite Inspiration ;-)
