I have been rushing around this weekend preparing for a trip to Utah next weekend, so I had little time to spend on cards for the "kids". I whipped these up in about 10 minutes each today. It's the sentiment that counts, right?
I used Studio 18 butterflies and the large flower below from www.Thoughts2Paper.com .

Creative Packaging!
I walked around this morning trying to think of a clever way to wrap my Dad's Father's Day album that I made for him. Finally, I remembered an old pinto bean bag I had emptied last month and tossed in my laundry room. The dimensions are perfect and it gave it that masculine feel that wrapping paper wouldn't have! And it brags just a bit about Arizona and it's great products! Tie a ribbon around the top, and you've got a gift that's wrapped and ready!
So easy....
I went to a friend's house the other day, and attempted to HELP her with downloading some pictures. Well, one thing lead to another, and somehow we lost some of her son's b'day pics! I felt horrible! There's not much you can say at that point. Crying wouldn't have helped.... so I made her this card hoping it would smooth over a bit of the hurt. She was actually very sweet about it, but I know I would have been devistated had it been mine! My inspiration came from the "caveman" commercials!
Inside reads "Well, I guess I proved they were wrong!"
I used the Dragon Doodles images again, this time the Computer Monkey; Bazzill cardstock; Chatterbox pattern paper; and jute. The leaves I buy from the scrap expo by the yard...love 'em and use them often! Manufacturer? I have no idea.
Father's Day Doodle Dragon Challenge
I used the excuse that it was for Dustin Pike's card challenge, but I loved making a card for my dad using the Dragon image! Popping up the clear "wave" and the dragon's hand and foot really added dimension!
Supplies:
Standard Blank Card; Dragon Doodle image, DragonFloat; Copic markers; scrap clear plastic packaging; Ranger alcohol inks to stain plastic "water", PebblesInc, summer strip; and Miss Elizabeth's sun sticker.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the dads out there!

Dustin Pike's Card Challenge
This month's challenge on dustinpike.blogspot.com is FLOWERS! I chose to go with the wedding theme, and used the bear couple as my digi-stamp. It's hard to make Dustin's images very flowery or romantic, they are so cute and cartoony!! But I think these two make the grade!
I used Copics markers; Spellbinders Nestibilities Deckled Rectangle; and the Cuttlebug embossing folder, Textile. Flowers were from JoAnn's wedding shower goods.

Time for more Send Love Today cards!
Another week has gone by and time to send my kids (well, one gal is actually a 19 yr old young lady) their cards. It truly does as much to lift my spirits as it may theirs. Even though the updates do not always consist of the most encouraging news, I know that the knowledge that there are many of us out here thinking of them, helps.
Cricut ROBOTZ cartridge is really getting used! And my scraps are great for the card-making! I have been utilizing my Sassafras paper scraps! Thanks Liz at Thoughts2paper!

More Cards for SendLoveToday!
Turtle-rific Birthday Card!
I made this card for one of the kids from SLT who mentioned in his profile that he likes turtles. You can't tell in the photo, but I sprayed the popped-up balloon with my Glimmer Mist from Thoughts2paper and it looks really cool!
Colored the little guy with my Copics, and cut out the image with Spellbinders Nestabilities and the dotted frame with my good ol' ProvoCraft ragged edge scissors.Tuesday, June 1, 2010
Sketch Challenge for Thoughts2paper!
Here is my version of the sketch for June! I am so awful about limiting my pages to one 12 X 12 that I HAD to make it a two-page lay-out! I think this sketch idea worked really well for that! Thanks, Delphina, for making my job easy!!
RECIPE: Paper, Chatterbox, Tie Plaid; baseball, Sticko; Cricut title, Base Camp; Pennant, Doodlebug; hand-cut swirl. The newspaper print was made by scanning and printing an actual sports page!
Thanks everyone for looking!
