Celebrating Fall with Bugaboo!

This upcoming challenge at Stampin' for the Weekend
is all about Fall!

My grandson very recently became a BIG brother,
and I know that a lot of attention is going to the new baby!

I thought this card would be a great way to remind him
 that Grandma has not
forgotten her "used-to-be-little", big boy!
We are also celebrating his making the
"Principal's List"
(apparently that's a good thing!)

Using Bugaboo "BB Bratz Ruler Boy" image.

I popped up the little guy so he sits comfortably on the ruler.
The sentiment is an old rub-on from my stash.

If I stick this in the mail today,
he will have it before I see him again!
He loves getting mail!

Thanks for joining us at Stampin' For the Weekend!
If you haven't seen them, check out what the rest of the design team has put together for Fall!
And now on to our upcoming challenge; the theme is Fall colors . sponsored by
Bugaboo
and
Scrappiness Designs!

DYSU Challenge #56- RIBBONS!

First off, I'd like to wish all my Aussie blogging friends a
HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!

Welcome to a new challenge at Do You Stack Up?! This week is all about
RIBBONS!!
We all have yards and yards of those yummy things in our stash.  So let’s take them out and give them some good use.

For this week we have four great sponsors:

Crafty Sentiments
 Winner's choice of 4 images

The StampingBoutique
 Winner's choice of 5 images

Dearie Dolls
 Winner's choice of 4 images
Since I love using ribbons and bows on my cards, this was no challenge at all!

And that adorable little image is from Stamping Boutique.
Isn't she so, so sweet!

My Copics class last week was on hair, skin, and eyes, so hopefully my skills will be noticably improving!

Go check out the rest of the DT's projects!

I just had to get silly, with the holiday stress and all!
With this post post falling after Christmas, but before New Year's,
I thought it needed to fit both.

Bugaboo's "Ruby" has had quite a week of parties!

From her sequined hot pink shoes to her gold globe earrings, she's quite the catch!
(Come on, we all know someone like this!)

Inside of the card:

Stamp - "Ruby Xmas Drink" (Bugaboo)
Paper -  "Hog Heaven" (Sassafras Lass)
Copics Markers
Stickles

I hope everyone has enjoyed seeing all of the creations and joining in the challenges at "Do You Stack Up" over the past year!  I know I have enjoyed every assignment with the gals on the Design Team and look forward to the next term!
Whee!  More fun to come!

Happy, Happy New Year to you all!

Thanks, Sassafras!

When I opened the Sassafras challenge blog this month and saw the sketch layout for April, I knew it was the encouragement I needed to finish my co-ordinating second page of the pages I had started in March!  Sometimes I prefer that to an actual two-page layout, where the page flows across the two pages with connecting elements.

Sassafras March Layout Challenge

BLOCKING!
This month at Sassafras, the challenge is to use the "Blocking" method on your layout. I love all of their papers, but have not been able to add to my lines in a while. Sooo, I pulled out my older Sassafras paper packs, and put together my 5 year old grandson's soccer page.  I will add a second page to it eventually, but really adored this picture of him so intently waiting in the goal for the ball!  His the team's official goalie!  How cool is that!
I popped up the journal card and added felt "grass". I know there's no green grass on the field, but in Arizona, this is what you get....brown dirt.
The paper lines I used primarily were Sassafras Lass, Bungle Jungle and Hog Heaven. The ribbon is Queen & Co.
With all of the little co-ordinating die cuts and ready-made stickers that Sassafras includes, I really didn't feel as though I needed to add much more!  Gotta love that!
The prize this month is $50 worth of goodies! Wish me luck! I need some new papers!

Some New Easy-Peasy Cards!

No matter what else I have going on in my day-to-day, I always take time to make my cards for Send Love Today! I pulled out some scraps from earlier projects, and put together my three cards for this weeks' kids.

I used the Jillibean Soup for the first. Sassafras Lass, Hog Heaven for the second, and Apple Jack for the third, also Sassafras.

This one is special due to the fact that little Caleb is celebrating his 9th birthday this next week! These paper lines make kids' cards and layouts so easy and fun!
Inside reads:
Wear a funny hat.
Eat a lot of cake.
Stay up late!
It's your birthday!
All of these papers came from Liz over at the Thoughts2Paper store! Thanks, Sweetie!
