Head's Up!

Introducing you to one of the terrific new Fall releases from
STAMPENDOUS!
(This little guy is so adorable!)

"Mumeek"

After coloring him,
I just had to get out the "Hug Snug" and wrap away!

The "Mumeek" image can be ordered here
at the Stampendous shop!

It's just one of the many cute Halloween and Christmas images, along with some gorgeous vintage and lovable Kiddos stamps that are just too, too terrific!

A few of my teammates are showing off new products from Stampendous as well!
Not only do some of them have their own blog candy, Stampendous will be drawing a winner for this great prize pack.

How do you win it? It's easy! One of the featured bloggers today will be choosing a random commenter from her blog, and that lucky person will be announced on the Stampendous blog tomorrow. The more places you leave a comment, the better your chances are to win! Below is the list of team members who are sharing inspiration today:

Stampendous Impressions
Cyndi Bundy (has additonal blog candy)
Kristine Reynolds
Jennifer Dove
Taylor Usry (has additional blog candy)
Jan Garber
Wendy Jordan

Art Philosophy Cameo

I really like the way the Cricut "Art Philosophy" cartridge works so well with the other die cuts out there!  I used several of my Spellbinders and this pretty silhouette cut from the cartridge to make a quick and easy layered card!
And in order to enter it in the challenge at
I chose to layer the cut silhouette under acetate.
(This blog has some really fantastic ideas for your cartridges. Even if you haven't any CTMH stamps, it's great for ideas!

After the fact, I had wished I had made the black frame more filigree. At the time I made the card, it seemed as if it would be too busy...now I regret not taking that chance!
I must keep asking myself, "What would Becca Feeken do"?  LOL!
She would have had three more luscious layers and a larger, prettier bow!
baby steps, Jan, baby steps....

This photo shows the reflection off the acetate.
If you have a Cricut, and have been debating buying the "Art Philosophy" cartidge,
get it!
I have only 20 or so Cricut cartridges, and find I use some only rarely. But this one has SO many elements that work well with vintage and fancy cards and layouts, I'm constantly pulling it out!
The other one I love is Heritage.

Have a great week!

Spread your wings....

This card was made especially for the

Do you love their stamps as much as I do?
They are celebrating their very first blog birthday
and there are numerous challenges and even FREE digis!

My card:

I heat embosssed the birdcage from the gorgeous Craft's Meow  "Fly Free" stamp,
along with a few little personal extras... cream Hug Snug, resin bird...
The feathers are from our very own parrots.  I have peacock and artificially colored craft feathers in my stash, but it just seemed right to use our very own.
(Don't worry, they fell out during a normal molting.
No birds were injured in the gathering of these feathers!  LOL!)
They were the perfect blue and green colors.
(Note: Bird feathers glow with an odd irridescent color when photographed!
There is NO  yellow in that feather!)

The inside simply has the sentiment that is included in the set:

Spread your wings and fly!

Hope you enjoy!

Challenges Galore!

This month HAS to be the most inspiring of the year! So many challenges to help you get your Christmas/Holiday cards finished!

"Capture the Moment", has a "ruffle" challenge! I love ruffles, whether handmade out of ribbon or paper, or store bought.  I chose to make mine out of my Hug Snug ribbon to keep a soft, cream color to my card.

The sketch I used was from Card Patterns blog, flipped, of course!

Supplies:
Stamps; Papertrey Ink, "Button Boutique"
Ribbon; Hug Snug (internet purchase)
Ink; Tim Holtz, Distress Ink, "Vintage Photo", and Quick Quotes, "Banana Bliss"

Enjoy the season, and take advantage of all the great ideas and inspiration out there!
