Some New Easy-Peasy Cards!

No matter what else I have going on in my day-to-day, I always take time to make my cards for Send Love Today! I pulled out some scraps from earlier projects, and put together my three cards for this weeks' kids.

I used the Jillibean Soup for the first. Sassafras Lass, Hog Heaven for the second, and Apple Jack for the third, also Sassafras.

This one is special due to the fact that little Caleb is celebrating his 9th birthday this next week! These paper lines make kids' cards and layouts so easy and fun!
Inside reads:
Wear a funny hat.
Eat a lot of cake.
Stay up late!
It's your birthday!
All of these papers came from Liz over at the Thoughts2Paper store! Thanks, Sweetie!

Up, Up and Away!

My card came from the inspiration I got while on a recent vacation . It happened that a hot air balloon show was being held right on the main street of a small western town here in Arizona! Glowing balloons totally unexpected lined up in the middle of Safford!

I used so very many materials, papers, and goodies on a my KaiserCraft advent calendar (That project will be posted on January 1st) that it was difficult to choose which products to use for my August challenge card. I wanted a new, fresh message so I chose to make a cool hot-air balloon card! The Hero Arts stamp (Enjoy the Journey) seemed appropriate for a friends' 40th birthday card!

Supplies: Fussy cut images from Mr Webster's Pages pattern paper; Hero Arts stamp; Nestabilities Labels 4 die cut; Bazzill cardstock; Martha Stewart punch; and Helmar Scrap Dots. Most of these great products can be found in the Thoughts2paper store.

Welcome to the Blog Hop!

Thanks for following us on the Thoughts2Paper Blog Hop!

Seems too early to start thinking about Christmas. But if you're anything like me, it'll sneak up on you before you know it! The stamp from the Paper Company "Snowflake" collection (Let it Snow!) gave me the incentive for my card.

I wanted to do a new technique on my cards this year that I hadn't done before. As I am new to card-making, that pretty much left many choices. I decided that a gate card would give me chance to try a layout that I had seen a friend use for her holiday cards!

Supplies used: SEI, Glitzmas papers; Paper Company stamp, (Snowflake); Crystal glitter from Sulyn; Stickles, Icicle and Frosted Lace; Copics markers; stock ribbon from T2P, and Helmar adhesive. All of these supplies can be purchased at the T2P store! http://thoughts2paper.com/home1.html!

Go to the store by 8/28 and get a 40% discount on your order!Simply use the code CHAROOM!!

For my card, I used an image I found in my Clickart collection and split it into two individual snow "people", and cut the snowflake from some scrap plastic packaging I had saved. I love the technique, but wish I had planned better for the placement of the snowflake. I kinda covered up the poor guys' face! LOL!

At the conclusion of the hop, I will have a random drawing for a packet of Jolee's Christmas Dimensional Stickers! Just leave a comment here with your blog/email address, and maybe you'll win a little extra bling for one your pages! (Can mail to Stateside addresses only, please)

Have a great day and don't STOP now! The next blog is Rhonda's (http://www.snapwhiz.blogspot.com ) and she always has some super ideas!!
ENJOY!

Back to School!

My little Harley in Missouri has started back to school. Unfortunately, she has chemo scheduled for this week also. So this is my wish for her to get in there and give it to them good! She loves her classes and studies so I'm sure she'll do very well!

Supplies: Objects fussy-cut from Miss Elizabeth Paper'; Pennants cut from scrap papers; ribbon is stock form JoAnn's; along with measuring tape ribbon purchased by the yard. Cork scallop is cut from Artist's Loft Liner Roll bought at Michael's.

Measuring Happiness

I had purchased these Stampin' Up sets quite a while back and hadn't thought of a good reason to use them! Well, my 19 year old gal from Send Love Today (Rian) has just gotten some spectacular news! Her lastest test came back negative!!! YEAH!!! I'd say that deserves a good ol' "Let's go shoppin!" card... A girl can not have too many shoes, or purses for that matter. The inside reads "I measure it by the foot...or should I say by the number of shoes in my closet!"
It was easy with a Stampin' Up stamp, and the tags from Paperbilities Craftin' Time line; the Devine Swirl embossing folder from Cuttlebug, and I colored the little shoes with Copics markers for that added touch. This card is bound to appeal to a young, cool gal!

57th Anniversary!!

Yep, my parents are celebrating 57 years of wedded bliss! Can you imagine? So what do you get for two people who don't go out to eat much, have no need of any type of clothing or household gadgets, and aren't at all interested in high-tech toys? I decided to make them a gift that would remind them everyday of how much they love each other.
It took very little time, which is a good thing since I'm going in ten different directions at once these days! The photo was a very small 4 x 5 that was poor quality. But with a little Photoshop tweeking, the 8 X 10 came out better than I thought. With a few dabs of Helmar's adhesive, and some silk flowers I had on hand, it made for a quick and easy (but thoughtful, I might add) gift. Some of the flowers are under the glass, and the rest on top. It is much more 3D than you can see in the pictures.

Send Love Today card

With summer quickly coming to an end (at least in other parts of the country) and school starting, I find the Sassafras papers make the quickest, easiest cards around!! I love the Hog Heaven papers and stickers that come with them. By simply sticking a few to the card front, printing your message to it, and adding some flowers, you have a fast and cute card to send out. Thanks, Liz, over at Thoughts2paper!

Supplies: Other than the Hog Heaven stickers; the paper flowers are from Bazzill; and a single brad from Imaginisce! Font used was A T & Love. That's it!

I Scream, You Scream....

Hey, this is Jan taking time away from the scorching Arizona heat to show you my latest!
I LOVE the Sassafras paper line, all of it! But this Me Likey collection I received from Liz at thoughts2paper.com has to be my favorite! The bright colors and cute images...they are to die for!
I made this mini entirely from the collection to create a summer album about my grandson. This is the little guy who referred to Bubble Gum ice cream as "Guggle Bum" for a long time. I always think of him when I eat ice cream! The best memories are of those of summer and the special treats that come with it!
So get out your primary color buttons and ribbons, and your color palette is set! And the "coloring pages" in the collection are perfect for letting your child personalize their pages!!
This is an album or page you can whip together in an hour. How easy is that?Simple supplies used: Sassafras Me Likey paper collection; Primary buttons from JoAnn's; ribbons from American Crafts and my own scrap stash; Spellbinders, Labels Four for cover title, Candy Cane Stickles for cupcake on back cover.
You can purchase all of these at the Thoughts2paper store and have your album done in no time!
Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Goodtimes Great!

I love the stamps in the "Because of You" Unity Stamp kit! I knew I wanted to use them on my very next card! Thanks, Liz, at http://www.thoughts2paper2009.blogspot.com/!
I used: Mama's Curtain's, 29th Street Market paper, Unity Stamps, Because of You; Bazzill paper flowers, Spellbinder Nestibilities, Labels Four, and stock ribbon from JoAnn's. The flower is spritzed with "homemade" mist made from Ranger ink, Tumbles Glass. The Helmar's 450 adhesive makes attaching thick ribbon a breeze!

This card was entered in the sketch challenge at: http://s2gpapercraftingcontest.blogspot.com/

I made this invitation using one of Dustin Pike's cute little Doodle Dragons from his website http://www.doodledragonstudios.com/,! I can't get enough of these darling little guys!

I used my Copic markers and Creative Imaginations stickers to make these invitations quick and easy!!! Popping the dragon up with 3D foam made it even cuter!

Thoughts2Paper Projects!

Talk about a fun project! Decorating this Dress Card is like playing paper dolls again! I went with the satin fabric for the skirt, and then made it formal with the velvet ribbon and rose! What young lady wouldn't love this card?
Supplies: Accucut Die Cut; Fabric, JoAnns; Ofray Ribbon Rose; Label by Anna Griffin; Bazill cardstock. If your cut edges of fabric tend to fray, my friend, Delphina, showed me that heating it with a flame will melt and bind the edge! Cool, eh? Be careful, satin burns quickly! LOL!

A Birthday Card for HIM!

With all the great products offered over at http://www.thoughts2paper.com/, I just can't resist tearing into it and letting my imagination run wild. There are never enough masculine birthday cards out there, but the cake die cut lends itself to almost ANY one's celebration!

SLT time again!

I have been rushing around this weekend preparing for a trip to Utah next weekend, so I had little time to spend on cards for the "kids". I whipped these up in about 10 minutes each today. It's the sentiment that counts, right?
I used Studio 18 butterflies and the large flower below from www.Thoughts2Paper.com .
The stem and leaves are just looped American Crafts baby ribbon.

Another Cricut Robot for the little boy I send cards to! Couldn't resist the puppy this week! Added a speech bubble that read "Woof, Woof, Beep" after I took the picture.
